Biological Male Sexually Assaults Biological Female at Women's Shelter
The Story: A biological male who self-identifies as a transgender woman turned himself in after sexually assaulting a vulnerable woman at a Windsor, ON, women’s shelter. Several outlets that originally used both the attacker's new name—Desiree Anderson—and his original name—Cody D’Entremont—quickly scrubbed the original name from their stories. Despite the suspect remaining at large, the outlets removed critical identifying information about the perpetrator—including a picture that clearly reveals his male characteristics. Other outlets removed the story altogether. After capturing Anderson, Windsor Police identified him as female, placing him alongside other women immediately after he assaulted a woman.
The Significance: To understand the absurdity of the media's coverage of this story, take a moment to look at the
attached picture of suspect “Desiree Anderson". Simply put, the media was more concerned with properly handling the attacker's identity than seeking justice for the attacker's victim. This is not a matter of “acceptance” or “tolerance.” This is about whether or not we prioritize the safety of the vulnerable or the self-expression of sexual predators.
The nations may rage against God's good design for sexuality, but no human being will ever be able to change the reality that a person is either biologically male or biologically female. When this reality is subverted and ignored, real women are endangered to satisfy the self-expression of evil men—a tragic outcome that could be avoided by simply looking at creation.

Anti-Pornography Bill Sent to House Of Commons After Passing Senate
The Story: A Bill aimed at protecting young Canadians from online pornography will be considered by the House of Commons after passing the Senate. Senator Julie Miville-Dechene's Bill S-210 would make it a criminal offence to make online pornography available to Canadian minors. The Bill, which would require meaningful age-verification to be implemented on pornographic websites, will need multi-party support in the House of Commons to become law. Unfortunately, the Bill's passage is far from certain: the Liberals recently blocked an amendment to an online safety bill that would have introduced similar protections.
The Significance: Anti-sexual exploitation experts from across the ideological spectrum have agreed on the necessity of meaningful age-verification. However, a robust debate on this Bill is still anticipated. Even among Conservatives, many believe the government should have no authority to regulate any online activity. The truth, however, is that pornography is just as harmful to children as any illegal drug—and there are currently no restrictions on access to pornographic content and no penalties for marketing pornography to children. Even more tragically, a vast amount of content on mainstream porn sites is actually illegal, non-consenual sexual violence that targets viewers who can no longer tell the difference. Every Canadian should inform their Member of Parliament that they want this Bill enacted in order to protect our children from pornography's ugly perversion of sexual design.

Public Service Strike Grinds Government Services to a Halt
The Story: The Canadian public service strike—which includes more than 155,000 federal workers across Canada—is having massive implications throughout the country. Economists estimate the ongoing strike could cost Canada $200 million a day in lost output and individual Canadians have been impacted by the unavailability of entire public service divisions. Passport processing has stopped for all but the most urgent cases and the Minister in charge has told Canadians not to submit applications at all because their documents will be held indefinitely with nobody to process their file. Tax returns will also be delayed with 35,000 members of the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) now on strike.
The Significance: While a fair debate may be had about the efficiency of the public service and the efficacy of public sector unions, the union's seemingly enormous request for a 13.5-20% pay increase would only match the rate of inflation since 2020. Evidently, the Government's pandemic-era distribution of “free money” has already had the significant economic cost that many warned it would. Over the last few years, the Federal Government poured money into the Canadian economy while limiting the production of goods, thereby driving inflation to record levels. As a result, a Canadian receiving a raise of 13.5-20% receives less value than his original salary three years ago. Poor economic management has a cost no matter where you work or what your job is, and our society is suffering from short-term governmental decision-making. In the words of Proverbs, "where there is no vision, the people perish" (Prov. 29:18).

Nearly 40% of All Canadian Abortions Conducted With Deadly Mifepristone Pill
The Story: According to a National Post story, nearly 40% of all Canadian abortions are conducted with the use of Mifepristone—a drug that thins the uterus lining, making the mother's uterus uninhabitable for the already-conceived preborn child. Mifepristone is most often prescribed with misoprostol, which acts to expel the embryo from the womb following the aforementioned uterus thinning. According to the story, mifepristone accounted for nearly 35,000 of the 87,485 reported Canadian abortion deaths in 2021.
The Significance: As Christian citizens work to defend the lives of their preborn neighbours, the technological advancement of the abortion regime continues to accelerate. The remarkably widespread use of the abortion pill presents new challenges for pro-life advocates and reveals the ever-expanding ingenuity of human beings in the production of evil. Let these difficult numbers sober our minds and prompt us to action even as we wait for the final trampling of death under the triumphant foot of Jesus Christ.
