Every project starts with a “What if”? The Micah Project is the answer to the question “What if politics in Canada was led not by fear and power but infused with the principles of justice, mercy, and humility.”

Most of us at the Micah Project have been working on political campaigns for years. Many years ago it bothered us how people with strong values, particularly if they were people of faith, were expected to hide who they were.

But over time we were delighted to start to work with politicians who boldly proclaimed their values and beliefs. And we saw that the stronger they stuck to strong moral values, the more successful they were.

The more success we saw, we couldn’t get rid of the thought, “what if we didn’t have to build these values-based campaigns from scratch? What if we could build a movement, a network of Canadians with strong values of Justice, Mercy, and Humility so that we could quickly activate and be influential at every level of Canadian politics.”

What if Canadians who believe in these values could easily sign-up so that whenever a politician who represents those values was running for city council, Member of Parliament, or even their school board, we could connect them directly. Wouldn't this be better than people needing to rely on the media, their social media feed or any other noisy funnel of information to connect.
